Your Chance to Get Dirty

…and Get Paid Doing It

Most people like an opportunity to go out and get dirty now and then. But the question is, how much do you like it? And how dirty are you willing to get?

If the answer is “I’m not happy until I come home a bit muddy, a tad soaked from the rain, and definitely exhausted,” you’re probably the exact sort of person Stageline would like to get to know. Right now, we’re entering in a hiring period, and we’re looking for potential stage techs who’d like to join our team of hard-working folks who pride themselves on getting it right every time no matter what comes your way.

The position of stage tech isn’t a job for everybody. If you’re looking to chill out with the Rock Stars, you’re better off applying to work with talent managers. While stage techs are responsible for the literal backbone of show business, they don’t have much time to rub elbows with the people on the stage. Instead, stage techs travel all over North America rubbing elbows with the stage and infrastructure, and they may have to work all night in the pouring rain to get a stage up—if the doors open tomorrow at 3pm, no matter what, the stage has to be there.

Ready for the challenge of your life?

But there are a lot of folks out there whose ears perk up when hear the word “challenge”—and that’s who we’re looking for. Are you interested in seeing how far you can push yourself personally on a team with other people just like you, all pushing hard to make a great experience for the crowd coming to the show? Then you’re our kind of person.

The stage tech position attracts a huge and colourful variety of individuals. In many cases, the only things they have in common is that they enjoy a social workplace where they pull together as a team, they like life on the road and they like to work hard.

The team travels up and down, east and west, all over the continent. Because they live close by one another, they become as tight-knit as family, eating meals together, working long hours together and socializing together. In doing so, they grow in every aspect of their personality and knowledge.

The real value of this job is that it builds a social network that exists in the real world, rather than just on the internet. If you want to make friends in every big city in the US and Canada (and a lot of the small ones too), this is the job for you.

Stageline offers a lot of opportunities for growth. Once you’re trained as a stage-tech and you head out on the road and begin to build experience as the leader of a group of stagehands. The fact that we’re growing fast will play in your favour. New positions and possibilities appear on a regular basis and it’s in your power to reach out and show your worthiness.

Want to apply?

You don’t need any kind of experience to apply—the only barrier to entry is that you must not have a criminal record. Leadership is an asset, as is bilingualism, but really the only thing we need you to have is the desire to work hard and not be afraid of getting your hands dirty. Bring that to us, we’ll provide the rest and we’ll have an adventure together.

About Alexis Delage

I am extremely fortunate to work in marketing. As an HEC Montreal graduate, I began my career working as a marketing coordinator for an important bar & nightclub chain.  I gained a lot of experience, and worked more than a few long nights in this job.  I then moved on to the world of advertising agencies, managing multiple projects utilizing a plethora of media channels for brand names such as Volvo, Nissan, Essilor and many others.  Almost 3 years ago, I joined Stageline and became a part of a passionate team of individuals who are as motivated as I am.  Fuelled by challenge and the pleasure derived from my responsibilities, I contribute to make Stageline products shine in our industry and around the world.

    Hi.

I have just seen you as in Facebook about joining stage line. I’ve worked on your stages before when I worked with monster energy and was wondering what the jobs entailed and if it was full time or not ?
