About Alexis Delage

I am extremely fortunate to work in marketing. As an HEC Montreal graduate, I began my career working as a marketing coordinator for an important bar & nightclub chain.  I gained a lot of experience, and worked more than a few long nights in this job.  I then moved on to the world of advertising agencies, managing multiple projects utilizing a plethora of media channels for brand names such as Volvo, Nissan, Essilor and many others.  Six years ago, I joined Stageline and became a part of a passionate team of individuals who are as motivated as I am.  Fuelled by challenge and the pleasure derived from my responsibilities, I contribute to make Stageline products shine in our industry and around the world.

Starting Nature’s Party

Robin Williams once said that spring was nature’s way of saying “Let’s Party.” While we wouldn’t be in this industry if we didn’t like a party, we acknowledge that Stageline’s annual Spring Training workshop is kind of the opposite. It’s a lot of work and a lot of learning, and if you’re not one of…

Lightning-Fast Safety Response

Lightning may not strike twice, but striking once is bad enough. Thanks to the diligence of Stageline tech Francis Kopajko, when lightning struck a SAM440 during the leadup preparations for an evening show in Rouyn-Noranda on August 11, the stage had already been evacuated, and no one was hurt. Mid-afternoon that day, technical people were…

SUPERDOME MEETS SUPER STAGE DEPLOYMENT

How fast do you think you could set up one of Stageline’s SL100 mobile stages? The New Orleans Saints gave Dolph Federico and his team at Pelican Events twenty minutes after a game in the Superdome. That’s right, one third of an hour. From the closing whistle of the game to the first note of…

Yes, Can Do!

Last week we told the story of Dolph Federico and his team at Pelican Events steering an Stageline SL100 through the six-inch clearance of the New Orleans Superdome’s goal-posts and setting the stage up in twenty narrow minutes. However, Pelican Events has done far more than that one breathtaking deployment—in fact, they’ve made a reputation…

A true Character

“Officially I was a stage tech,” says New Orleans Glen “Monster” Warner, as he reflects on the many facets of his long career in the music industry. “With Bob Dylan, I was his official Corona beer man. With David Lee Roth, I carried him on a surfboard!” A Zelig-style figure in the world of arena…

What about lifting capacity?

With ever-tightening deadlines and an increased concern for safety, lifting capacity is an important factor to consider when choosing the appropriate stage. But what exactly does it entail? Lifting capacity allows a stage structure to have its roof section lifted with loads already hung from it. They make it possible to secure sound equipment, lighting, and banners…

Happy customers, they don’t come much happier than Laurence Sheldon II, owner of Riverside California’s Big Ear Audio. “Stageline’s SL100 changed my life!” he says, reflecting on the purchase of the mobile stage that transformed him professionally from a musician and audio engineer into the proprietor of a full-service live-entertainment company.
